Become a virtual fellow traveler in this tale. A travelogue that would take you through 4,000 years of Greek history connecting it with Hollywood and the Olympics in a storytelling narration that would be truly educational yet very gripping

Solo travel in Greece:a Pakistani girl's dairy: Is a very interesting look at the country Greece through the eyes of one Pakistani girls eyes. Being a work of non fiction it was very interesting to see how Aliya's point of view, it was especially interesting to me because I had traveled through the Greek islands on a two week. that also went up to Turkey. It is very well written and a easy read and it also takes a look at the different views that people have. If you are interested in Greek culture or just looking for something to read that tells a interesting story through another person eyes and their religious beliefs, then you will want to add Two weeks of solo travel in Greece: a Pakistani girl's diary to their reading list.

0 Happy Father's Day To all!

I just thought for  father's day that I would do a short post to all the dad's out there on father's day! Somethimes I think that we tend to put  to the second to mother's day but  I know that we all have father's out there that mean the world to us, So I just wanted to say to tall of you Happy Father's Day.

Fathers seldom say "I love you"
Though the feeling's always there,
But somehow those three little words
Are the hardest ones to share.
And fathers say "I love you"
In ways that words can't match -
With tender bedtime stories -
Or a friendly game of catch!
You can see the words "I love you"
In a father's boyish eyes
When he runs home, all excited,
With a poorly wrapped surprise.
A father says "I love you"
With his strong helping hands -
With a smile when you're in trouble
With the way he understands.
He says "I love you" haltingly,
With awkward tenderness -
(It's hard to help a four-year-old into a party dress!)
He speaks his love unselfishly
By giving all he can
To make some secret dream come true,
Or follow through a plan.
A father's seldom-spoken love
Sounds clearly through the years -
Sometimes in peals of laughter,
Sometimes through happy tears.
Perhaps they have to speak their love
In a fashion all their own.
Because the love that fathers feel
Is too big for words alone!

4 Linda Hawley, Author of Dreams Unleashed. Guest blog spot, , review and giveaway.

I Had the great opportunity to  review  Linda Hawley's  first book   of The Prophecies Trilogy Dreams Unleashed. Not only that but Linda is also giving one of my lucky readers a chance to win a Ebook copy of Dreams Unleashed.  May I take the time now to thank Linda for her time and for writing such a amazing novel!

Author Bio:

"If I were going to clone myself as a writer, I would concoct a cloning recipe which would contain the following ingredients:
Lots of varied life experience, to give enough flavor
World travel experience, for color
Passion, for spice
A few crazy relationships, to create perspective
One or two quirks, to add a little crunch
Deep love, to introduce spirit
Curiosity, to add a little danger
A touch of paranoia, to interject alternate realities
Lots of knowledge about current events, for texture
Pride and humility, to bring human characteristics
A touch of insanity, for interest

These characteristics have made their way into the pages that you read. My head is filled with stories, and The Prophecies trilogy is only the first that's on paper. Writing it has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. Many of the subplots and undertones of the trilogy came from my own life experiences.
I could tell you all about my higher education, my freelance writing experience, and a bunch of other pr
pofessional qualifications, but do you (the reader) really care about that? My guess is that you care more that I write compelling novels that take you into a new world, if only for a while.
Thank you for reading my stories."
 - Linda Hawley

Dreams Unleashed Synopsis:
It’s the near-future year of 2015, where technology governs life. In this dystopian world, governments control their citizens by tracking them with RFID. The right to personal privacy does not exist. The heroine, Ann Torgeson, having been trained by the CIA as a paranormal spy at nineteen years old, has enhanced abilities. Twenty-five years later, she lives a double life: first, as a technical writer for a tidal energy company in the Pacific Northwest, and second, as a member of the worldwide anti-government subversive organization, called GOG. When Ann’s vivid dreams turn real, she questions whether the doorway between her subconscious and reality has been permanently altered. When she starts to dig into her past, her present begins to unravel, leading the reader through events that twist and turn everything upside down. Question everything you know is essential in this trilogy.

 My thoughts.

Dreams Unleashed is a edge of your seat  Dystopian thriller! Ann Torgeson  has all the attributes that I wish that I had as a single 30 something female!

Hawley, did a great job with Dreams Unleashed main character Ann Torgeson. Ann is a successful , bright, independent woman in her 40's that knows what she wants and will go after it.  Ann works for the company
AlterHydro. writing instructional manuals. But little do we all know that Ann has a past and there is more to her than the eye can see.

I really did fall in love with the character of Ann, As I did with all of the key characters of Dreams Unleashed. I just love that fact that Hawley made sure that it the a clean language, no sex  novel. I had read somewhere Linda had  did that so her young daughters could read the trilogy if they wanted. I give my hat off to her for that, because there are many times when I reading  "Why in the heck did the have to use the Fword or OK why couldn't they say that they just made love and leave it at that ."  Because many times some of the words or scenes in the book, in my opinion  does not lend anything to the plot of the story. So I applauded Linda Hawley for omitting those type of scenarios and still giving her readers a AWESOME, INTUITIVE, RIVETING on the edge of you seat novel.

I would recommend Dreams unleashed to any reader from 12 to 100 and the only reason that I would not recommend it for a younger reader is because I feel that the might see it as hard to follow or comprehend and maybe a little scary as the over all  concept of the novel is Big Brother (the government) is tracking every one of your movements. I for one can't wait for book 2 of The Prophecies Trilogy to come out in late summer.

0 Five Question Friday

OK, so here goes 5 more questions for this Friday.

1. How close to your childhood dreams is your life now?

Oh boy this is Very depressing as I am as far as I could be from my childhood dream. I always wanted to own my own business. As I got older it became to own my own Children's book store. Right now Im reviewing some books online but thats about as closes as I got. Not close at all.

2. What is one must have item for the summer?

I would have to say tank tops, I just love to get  me some cute flirty tank tops.

3. Do you have your kids stay up on school stuff during summer vacation? (Or, if you don't have kiddos, did your parents make you keep up on school stuff during summer?)

I don't have kids, but my parents never made me keep up with school stuff if they had it probably would have ended in a fight. I didn't like  school when I was a kid.
4. Do you can or freeze fresh produce?

No, but  I would love to. I grew up on can and frozen fresh produce in the winter, But I don't have the room to do it now.
5. Do you get ready for the day first thing in the morning?

I try, I really do but it doesn't always happen. I feel better when I do though.

2 How time Flies..............

I just can't believe that 1/2 of 2011 is over? Here we are in our 6 month and I just can't believe it! Summer has Just started and I already feel like I am behind. Although the first week of June was one of those week, you know the kind that you think that if you could just go back to bed things would be better or just call REDO and start all over.

Things started OK on Monday, we had a family picnic for the holidays down at my sister's house it was fun to watch Bella play in the kiddie pool and we had some great food. the Southwest Corn Pasta Salad that I made was Awesome if I say so myself:) We also celebrated my mom's 57th birthday. ( good thing she doesn't read my blog or she would kill me.) That was the end of my peaceful catching up week.

Tuesday I drop my cell phone went done the toilet Literally! Yes I had it in my hand one minute and next I was fishing it out of my toilet luckily my sister still had her old one that she allowed me to have. Another thing that I have been dealing with  has to do with a friend of mine, actually its my neighbor. She and I became friends after she moved next to me and shes nice enough but recently I noticed that she can make really hurtful comments and put you down but if you say anything to her you either rude or she cries. I can handle that  most of the time, it hurts don't get me wrong  but I know she has some kind of mental issues so i just leave it has "that's just the way she is". Lately like the last couple of weeks  she is very nosey and I can't even go read on my patio when shes home because she won't let me. If I'm on my computer and she comes to the door she asks me what I'm doing  when I say looking up stuff or just surfing she wants to know what. If the phone rings or someone comes to the door she wants to know details about who they are and why they were there. She Driving Me Crazy and I don't know what to do?

The week did end on a awesome note though I got to spend time with one of my good friends from Jr high and high school whom i have not seen in 20 years it was so good to see her we had a blast!

Well thanks for listening to me rant and ramble. Check back soon because I have some awesome reviews, interviews and giveaways coming up in the next few days and weeks.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend or at least whats left of it!
